  • What is Blacktel.io?

    Blacktel.io is an online service that offers virtual numbers which can be used within our Apps or browser. With our virtual numbers, you are able to send and receive text-messages, make and receive calls and a lot more - without a SIM card or even a phone.
    With our virtual numbers, you can create your own virtual phone and manage your calls and SMS



Account

  • How do I create an account?

    You can create your own account on our front page under ‚create account‘. Fill in all necessary data and let’s get started!

  • I forgot my password, what do I do?

    In the login of our page, you can find the button for recovering your account. Simply provide us with your email address and we will send you a recovery link to that registered email.

  • How do I level up? (Why should I verify my account?)

    You can level up by verifying your email address, your phone number via SMS or by proving your identity. The higher level you receive, the more features you unlock, for example, the amount of virtual numbers that you can use simultaneously, or the amount of SMS you can sent per month. You can find more information to this topic in your settings under ‚verification‘.

  • How do I add credit?

    In your Dashboard, you can find the point ‚add credits‘. Currently, you are able to purchase credits comfortably via PayPal or with crypto currencies. Check it out!

  • How do I redeem a voucher?

    In your account under ‚voucher‘. You also want to receive a voucher and use free credits in our account? Tell your friends about our service here at Blacktel.io! Post about it in blogs, threads and social media. Send us a screenshot and receive free credits!

  • How do I delete my account?

    We do not wish for such a case to happen, of course, but please let us know what made you decide to delete your account here at Blacktel.io. You can delete your account in your settings under ‚account‘. Please do not forget to give us feedback on our service.


Virtual numbers

  • How do I purchase virtual numbers?

    You can find ‚add credits‘ directly in your dashboard. Currently, you are able to purchase credits comfortably via Paypal or with cryptocurrencies. After you received our credits, you can choose your own virtual number under the category ‚virtual numbers‘. You are free to choose from what country the number should come from and how you want to use it. Please notice that virtual numbers will not be renewed automatically. You are responsible to renew your virtual number before it expires. After expiration, it is not possible to renew the virtual number.

  • How do I renew my virtual number?

    All your active virtual numbers can be seen under the category ‚manage numbers‘. Please choose the number you want to renew. You can renew a number for up to 12 months at once. Do not forget to check if you have enough credits in your account

  • How do I deactivate my number temporarily?

    Under the category ‚manage numbers‘, you can find all your active virtual numbers. Click on the number you want to deactivate temporarily and set the button. You can undo this at any time.

  • What happens when my number was removed?

    Please make sure to renew your virtual number before it expires. You are not able to renew the number or purchase it back once it expired. You can renew your number for up to 12 months at once.

  • What is the price plan for the virtual numbers?

    You can find our current price list on our website. Check it out!

  • Can I use virtual numbers of different countries?

    Yes, of course! You can choose between a variety of different virtual numbers from different countries. We have a great selection of numbers, please get in touch with us if you need a number that is not in stock.

  • Can others use my virtual number as well?

    No, they cannot. Once you purchased a virtual number with your credits, it is only yours to use. Please, keep in mind to renew your virtual number, as you may not be able to get it back once it expires.

  • What features for virtual numbers do you offer?

    We offer different virtual numbers with different features. For example, a Call+SMS feature, but we also offer numbers only for SMS, Calls, Fax, Whats SIM, Trash SIM and many more.

  • Can I use your numbers to verify at online services?

    Such as Telegram, WhatsApp, Facebook ... Yes, of course! Get your own virtual number of your choice and get started!


Devices

  • What are devices?

    You can add your own devices for outbound calls, messages on Blacktel. If you have verified your device successfully, you can use them like virtual numbers. Unlike virtual numbers, your attached devices do not listen for incoming connections.


Virtual Phone

  • How do I use my virtual number?

    You can use your virtual numbers in our virtual phone. You can use them to make calls, send and receive text messages and for many other features. Create an account and let’s get started!

  • How do I make calls?

    To make phone calls, you need one of our virtual numbers. Please notice that you need a virtual number that can be used for calls, as we offer different options for numbers. When you decided on a number and purchased this one with your credits, you are ready to go. Open the virtual phone, choose the virtual number you want to use, enter the recipient (and please do not forget to choose the right country) and you are ready to make a call! As soon as you click ‚Call‘, the call will be established: a small window will pop up and you are able to hang up the phone or add different features.

  • How do I receive calls?

    To receive calls, you need one of our virtual numbers which is also activated for phone calls. You can use the number right after purchasing it with our credits. You will receive a notificiation immediately when someone tries to call you.

  • How do I make conference calls?

    You can make conference simply in your virtual phone. You can activate it here and add a certain amount of people depending on your current level.

  • How do I send SMS?

    SMS are sent in the virtual phone. In our virtual phone, you can make phone calls, send SMS and enjoy other features! But bevor you can start typing your text message, you need one of our virtual numbers. When choosing your virtual number, please notice that you pick one that also supports SMS, as we offer different number options for calls and SMS, you can choose between numbers for only calls, SMS or for both. After you chose your number and purchased it with your credits, you are ready to start. Pick the virtual number you want to use in your virtual phone, enter the recipient (please make sure to choose the right country) and off you go.

  • Where can I see the sent and received SMS?

    You can view your sent and received text-messages directly in your account under the category ‚messages‘. You can look up your messages by conversation or virtual number and do not worry! Our messages are saved without an expiration date.

  • How do I activate the call forwarding?

    You can find our call forwarding feature under the category ‚manage numbers‘. Choose the virtual number you want to activate the call forwarding for. To do so, click on the ‚edit‘ symbol. You should see all the features available to you now. Simply activate the call forwarding, enter the number you want to use as your fowarding number and you are all set.

  • How do I record a call?

    You can find our call recording feature under the category ‚manage numbers‘. Choose the virtual number you want to activate the call recording for. To do so, please click on the ‚edit‘ button. You should see all features available to you now. Simply activate the call recording – you can now decide what calls should be recording: incoming, outgoing or conferencecalls.

  • How can I setup a mailbox?

    You can find our mailbox feature under the category ‚manage numbers‘. Choose the virtual number you want to activate the mailbox for. To do so, please click on the ‚edit‘ button. You should see all features available to you now. Activate the mailbox feature. Please notice that you will not receive calls while the mailbox is activated. You are, however, able to listen to the recording right after the call. Our mailbox comes with a virtual voice and you can decide for yourself what should be said, in what language and in what voice. Try it out now!

  • What does text-to-speech mean?

    With our text-to-speech feature, you are able to activate a text that is spoken when you make a call and the call is connected. To use this awesome feature, please go to ‚manage numbers‘ and choose the virtual number you want to use the feature for. Activate the text-to-speech feature and choose the settings that work best for you. The text you set will be played as soon as the call is established and connected. You can also choose the features for both incoming and outgoing calls.


Troubleshooter

  • I have trouble receiving SMS. What can I do?

    If you are not receiving SMS, please try to restart your phone or the recipient's phone. Please also pay attention to the right country code in front of the phone number. Some more tips: Our service works best if you use virtual numbers from your own country. For example, use an American virtual number if you are situated in the United States. For European users, we would also like to recommend UK virtual numbers, as we made the best experiences with those.

  • I have trouble sending SMS. What do I do?

    If you are having trouble sending SMS, please restart your phone first. Please check if you have entered the right country code in front of the recipient's phone number. It is also best to use a virtual number from the country you are situated in. We would also recommend using UK virtual numbers, if you are situated in Europe.

  • I have trouble making phone calls. What can I do?

    Did you purchase a virtual number that enables phone calls? Please make sure that you are using the right virtual number. If you are not able to make phone calls, please try and restart your browser or try to use another browser. Please also note to enable your browser for speaker. Please also make sure that there are not too many tabs open in your browser, as this might lead to issues while the phone call is established.

  • I have trouble receiving calls. What can I do?

    Did you purchase a virtual number that enables phone calls? Please make sure that you are using the right virtual number. If you are not able to receive calls with your virtual number, please try to restart your browser first. Make sure that you are using the latest version of your browser as well. You can also try and restart your phone or the recipient's phone. Please also make sure that there are not too many tabs open in your browser, as this might lead to issues while the phone call is established.
